The mid-year or C2 generation of Corvettes ran from 1963-1967, the shortest of all Corvette model runs. The Sunfire Yellow 1966 model you see pictured here started out life as a small block roadster and has had a heart transplant that turned this classic Corvette from Bruce Banner into the Hulk! Under the hood is a built date code correct 396 that started out life in a Chevelle. This was originally a 360hp version, but with a different camshaft, heads and intake, this big block now thumps a mightier tune. And what a tune it is to hear emanating from those side pipes right under your ears. The entire car gently rocks at idle from the lumpy cam and the melody it produces can only be described as heavenly. Throw it into first and drop the hammer and the nose rises up as the rear end steps sideways just a little before grabbing and throwing you into your seat. Second, third, and fourth gear pin you back with each shift. This is what made the Corvette so legendary, and the rush you feel behind the wheel makes you feel that much more alive! This 66' Vette has the standard black vinyl bucket interior, but features the optional AM/FM radio with power antenna, seatbelts, and full instrumentation.
