This 2008 Shelby GT500KR is a true time capsule automobile, and easily one of the lowest mileage GT500KRs in existence today. Showing only 909 actual miles on the odometer, this one owner, all original, unmodified GT500KR is even still riding on its factory original Goodyear Eagle F1 tires!! Kept in a climate controlled facility since new, this beauty has been part of an extensive collection of specialty Mustangs. It is number 549 of 1,011 GT500KR's produced in 2008, and features the Ford Racing Power Pack upgrade, Ford Racing brake duct kit, and 3.73 performance rear axle ratio. The GT500KR was produced to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the original GT500KR built in 1968. The "KR" stood for "King of the Road", and this car was truly the King of the road in 2008 with 540 horsepower and 510lb. ft. of torque exploding from it's supercharged and intercooled 5.4L DOHC all aluminum V8. This monster mod motor was mated exclusively to the Tremec TR6060 6-speed manual transmission, just the way the automotive Gods prefer it to be! The suspension was tuned by SVT with unique spring rates, dampers, stabilizer bars, and strut tower brace and was sourced from Ford Racing. Braking is courtesy of massive four wheel discs with ABS and brake cooling ducts to keep these binders working hard no matter how much you use them. Putting the power down and special Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar tires mounted on gorgeous 18" chrome polished aluminum wheels. On the outside, the Shelby GT500KR features a carbon fiber composite hood with functional scoops and vents, twist-lock hood pins modeled on the original 1968 KR, a unique carbon fiber splitter, carbon fiber mirror caps, and unique GT500KR badges and emblems throughout. Inside the charcoal leather interior has a power driver side seat with inflatable lumbar support, power windows, lock, and mirrors, fold down rear seats, ice cold AC, tilt steering column, and a massive Shaker 500 audio system with AM/FM/CD/MP3 capability, 8-speakers, and a 6-disc trunk mounted CD changer. This Shelby GT500KR is in as new condition, and still smells new when you open the door.
