The 996 generation Porsche 911 was the first 911 to have a water cooled engine, and the first 911 to be built on an all new chassis since the 911's birth in 1963. Along with the new chassis and engine, came a completely new body and interior. This made the 996 911 the most revolutionary model in the 911's history. Powered by an all aluminum 3.4L flat six engine producing 296HP, this little gem can run 0-60mph in just over five seconds, and tops out at over 150 mph. The exhaust on this particular example has been modified and produces a wonderful cacophony of noise as the rpm's raise through the rev range. Power is routed to the rear wheels via a five speed automatic transmission with Porsche's "TipTronic" manual shifting capability. "TipTronic" allows the driver to command up or down shifts via buttons on the steering wheel or by moving the lever towards the + or -. Brakes are power assisted and ventilated discs all around, with cross drilled rotors, while suspension is independent at all four corners. Putting the power to the ground are sticky Pirelli PZero tires mounted on beautiful 17" aluminum alloy wheels. The exterior of this beauty is painted a special order blue with silver Carrera graphics on the doors. The power convertible top is a made from a high quality fabric and is in excellent shape. The rear automatic deploying rear spoiler has been replaced on this unit with a rigidly mounted "whale tale" aftermarket unit. Inside is as luxurious as you would expect from a car of this caliber, with all the power toys, premium stereo, leather seats with memory, automatic climate control, and a top that raises and lowers with just a touch of the button.
