WOW! That is the only word to describe the reaction when you see this gorgeous 1932 Ford Roadster. From nose to tail, top to bottom, this roadster has an outstanding appeal and it just reaches out and grabs you. It demands attention. The level of detail and craftsmanship in the build is stunning. As it was said with older models of a certain European auto maker, this custom roadster was built to a standard, not to a price point. Starting with custom 1932 Ford frame rails, the chassis received a TCI 4 bar dropped tube axle, 9" Ford Currie rear axle with 3.00:1 gears, and custom 31 spline axles. Then came the monster....a massive, herculean, 572 cubic inch big block Chevrolet engine from GM Performance division making 620 horsepower at 5000rpm and a whopping, earth spinning, 650lb ft. of torque. This cast iron beast was topped with a Demon carburetor, bolted to a professionally built GM Turbo 400 automatic transmission with a 2000rpm stall converter and heavy duty shift kit, then stuffed down between the front frame rails. Power disc brakes in front and drums in back do an excellent job at hauling this animal down from speed in a hurry. Definitely a necessity when you are wielding this kind of power in such a lite weight chassis. A custom AFCO aluminum heavy duty radiator keeps all these rampaging horses cool while the custom Sanderson headers and side pipes make sure you hear each horsepower clearly! This automotive art work chassis was painted to match the body and then covered with a fiberglass Hi-Boy Roadster body by Show Me Rod and Custom. This sleek body was finished in an attention grabbing Dupont orange basecoat/clearcoat paint and polished to perfection. It is literally as smooth as glass, and shines as though it is a mile deep. Finished off with a beautiful purple cloth "Bop Top" convertible top and offset 15X6" and 15x10" Polished American Racing Torq-Thrust II wheels wrapped in Hoosier Pro Street tires that cannot hope to maintain traction when the loud pedal goes down. The inside of this classic Ford is a very nice place to spend some time with soft leather bench seating surfaces, Stewart Warner white face gauges in a billet aluminum panel, polished "Ididit" tilt steering column, Lokar floor shifter, and a custom sound system courtesy of JVC/Cadence. Not that you would really want to listen to the stereo when you have the rumble of 620 horsepower bellowing from 3" side pipes right under you ears. It is the sound of America. Hot Dogs, Apple Pie, and monster cubic inch horsepower as they say. OK, maybe that's not how it goes, but it doesn't get anymore Merica' than this!
